He's got to be reading something wrong, there's nearly zero chance that has a .818 bore.

.718 would be more believable, a bit on the tight side but not unrealistically so (fairly common Italian bore ID), and the choke would give you between mod and full.

The guy taking the measurements is a gunsmith and the president of the CSAAA.( Canadian Sporting Arms and Ammunition Association) They are using this video to gain support in the fight against gun ban.

I'd have to see it to believe it.

A .812 bore on a factory single barrel gun from the early 1900s is entirely unbelievable.

The other option is someone ran a 13/16 reamer up the bore of the gun (rendering it completely unsafe to use with tinfoil thin walls) within the last couple weeks to essentially "create" an illegal gun for the purposes of illustrating the shortcomings of the law
