I don't have details, but the Utah State Trap Shooting Association posted that Marlin passed away this morning. He became ill at the end of January and could not recover. I met Marlin for the first time two years ago when I started shooting trap. He took time to help me understand the basics and always gave me confidence in my shooting ability. He also taught me to never ask someone about the "one" they missed when they shot a 99. He said to always ask them about the "99" they hit! He will be missed. My condolences go out to his wife Kathy and family.

Just met Marlin at the MT state shoot this last summer. He ran the perfect score in the handicap there. Wanted pics. My wife still has them somewhere. She did get a copy to Marlin and his wife. Really nice folks.

So sorry to hear that he has passed.

Met Marlin and his wife a few years ago at Spanish Forks very warm and friendly couple. Saw them at the Montana state shoot last summer.
