BAGHDAD — The top U.S. commander in Iraq warned his troops Friday to expect subtle changes in the way they plan and carry out combat operations — including obtaining warrants before searching homes and detaining people — when the newly approved U.S.-Iraq security agreement takes effect on Jan. 1.

This is the way to win the war. Make our troops be cops now, so they can practice before the new force in the USA takes effect..

My son goin back over there first part of Jan. supposed to be goin to tikrit. Said that mil forces are planning on moving out of major towns as locals get more control, but new bases are being established near-by so that they can rush in if anything goes awry. He's corp or eng, and will be responsible for making sure roads into the cities are always open, and he beleives that they will also be building some new bases to put this plan in place. And to think BHO said that we would be pulling out of there humph, sounds like the way we pulled out of KOREA.

Bob,

Thanks for your families service and sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I know what your son is talking about as I served in the Combat Engineers.

texaszephyr, I am very sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine what you feel. My family is military (almost all of the guys), and we have yet to lose one. My son will be re-deployed to Iraq soon.

Bob, my heart hurts for you. My son in law is on the plane home now. My grandsons are so excited.......I need to gently let them know that all are not coming home like their daddy!

Thank you and your family for the price that was paid. You, your family and grandson are loved because of it!
