What can be done about pitting in the barrels of a shotgun?
Option 1 :Leave it alone....The cup wad takes care of it.
Option 2 : Have it sleeved.
Option 3 : Re-polish/hone it. If so who does it best? Will it go out of proof?

Any information will be appreciated.

option #3, yourself.
buy a Brownells barrel hone,"flex hone",coarse grit,follow directions supplied.

If its a high dollar gun,the pitting most likely aint that bad,but then again if not inclined to do so,and tend to muck things up,let a pro do it.

If its deep pitted,a light backbore is in the cards.
