Hey, I am looking for some new ideas for trap shooting trophies. Something that will actually be admired but not to expensive. Any ideas?

I’ve never walked away from a shoot that gave out shells for trophies and thought, “great, when will I ever use these?”

A variety of leather products (pouches, carriers, barrel rests etc) are also nice (and useful).

Scott Calhoun was our leaguemeister and came.up with numerous ideas... Leather goods, bar-be-que tools, card holders, playing card sets, flask sets, acrylic trophies, buckles, bags, pouches, engraved mini barrels/kegs, your.limited only by your imagination...

If you like money or shells you can be a sure winner every week. Drive to Walmart with $200 cash. Get out of your car. If you would like money, get back in your car and go home. If you like shells, go in and buy $200 worth of shells. Burning up money and shells trying to win money and shells is not really very clever.

Yes I am looking for something original that would be a great keepsake. Thanks for the ideas
Having been on the trophy committee for many years you finally figure out that no matter what you give, there will always be someone that will complain.
Every single person likes something else. Too many clubs give the same thing year after year. How many can you use?

I need about 9 trophies. What do you have?
Scott Calhoun has the right idea. You need to do some leg work and research on your own and you can come up with some good ideas. Google or Bing lot of ideas and will get some good ideas. Going to the Trophy Companies year after year and will get the same ideas every year.

So shooting for free seems pretty awful to you huh? If you come to Central Michigan I’ve got a whole tote full of glass vases and shiny silver plates that you can have and not have to spend a dime shooting for them.
I try to make my return on investment something with utility…

Went all through grade and high school with Scott. It's a small world we live in.
I have seen some of these at shoots. Looks nice and not too expensive.

Leather goods, knives etc. are always a good idea. Some like belt buckles. Whatever the prize , I prefer useful items. I'm not a "money" shooter and money( though I never have enough it seems) is not TROPHY. Nothing like asking what you won at a shoot and saying "Yea, I got a few bucks and went out to a restaurant and spent it. Today the added money is all but gone and the only money you see is in the form of options which i don't play because ,at ant BIG shoot it's probably a sucker bet that will go in some big dog's pocket. Any real "MONEY" left trapshooting YEARS AGO ,and to me something I can look at for winning is nice to have. Those things will bring back memories for some time to come. A few bucks will be spent and forgotten.
