I stopped shooting in the winter - oh, maybe a round of clays once or twice in the winter. Maybe a meat shoot or some practice if the temp is 50 and the wind is not howling. I found winter shooting did nothing to help me in the spring, and maybe made things worse. I always knew it wasn't fun for me - I finally got smart enough to just say no.
I shoot twice a week regardless of -20 temps/snow/or wind. Rain is a different element. Put on your Carharts and bring out your "hot" loads ! Amazing how -20 wind chill affects a flinch.......BRRRRRRRRRRR. I HATE WINTER.
The only thing you do winter shooting is pick up bad habits,it takes all spring to get away from them. So, the only practice I do in the winter is my Terry Jorden's wall chart. Works for me.

I tend to agree with trapshootingfran. I do pick up bad habits. Thicker clothes, gun too long, gloves etc. I do start serious practice in the spring.
