My club is getting ready to light our trap fields. Has anyone researched the best type of lighting and configuration? Are there any sources of information for this out there? Thanx, Billy

Has anybody ever looked into LED style lighting for trap fields?

We use Musco sports lighting. With three poles per field & 10 fixtures total per field. The attached pictures should give you an idea.

Minimum of two per pole with poles located on outside of 27. We did 4 per pole, but two were for one field and other two for adjacent field. Therefore there were a total of 4 per trap field. We used, as recommended by a lighting professional engineer who managed a local wholesale electrical company and trapshooter, the Hubbell metal halide sports lights shown above. We were not unhappy!
