cuddeback! They are higher than most but the shutters are so much faster than all but a few others. I've had a bunch of others but none have the quality of picture, speed, and battery life of the cuddeback. Jackie B.

Our law enforcement department purchased several and they were the Cuddeback's, but we were not that thrilled with them.

Cuddeback was supposed to have "cut LE a deal," but what we got was a semi used demo, and it didn't work with a crap, actually we thought we were stupid for not getting it to work, but later learned it was DOS. We sent it back and had to wait quite a while to get a new replacement. We then bought others, but ended up paying more than what we originally thought they were charging for LE purposes. Kinda soured us after filling out all the prerequisite LE paperwork, verifications, etc. We later learned also that one of our officers could simply order them cheaper through a dealer who passed on to LE deals.

We went to the Bushnell's, and have been thoroughly pleased with them. We got the color playback versions, but those were over-kill. They are smaller than the C/B's and much easier to mount and conceal for covert operations.

Last summer and fall, two of the hunting magazines to which I subscribe had camera comparison articles. The Bushnell ("Elite," I believe) was ranked highest in both comparisons and from what I could learn online, most people like them a lot, so I bought one.

It works great - the photos are clear and the lens has a lot of depth of field. But you have to set the sensitivity to "low" or you'll get thousands of photos on one breezy day of leaves moving and squirrels 50 yards away as well as the deer that pass by it.

I found the best price on Amazon.com. I forget what it cost but it wasn't hateful.

I've used several and the best in my price range (<$ 250.00) were the Cuddeback IR Captures. The pictures were clear and the animals were centered.

i have 2 Bushnell Elites..they work great and the interface software works very smooth with my Vista OS...I let my neighbor borrow one to catch a juvenile thief who was breaking into his barn/sheds and stealing tools...it paid for itself getting the little gangster put into Juvey Hall

I have nine of the Cuddeback capture. We have tried all sorts and like them the best until we have to deal with their customer service. It has to be the worst in the world. They will not let you send one in for repair until you have spent a minimum of 30 minutes of hair-pulling stress with one of their techs on the telephone. One has to self diagnose and try to repair himself. If I could find something else with the trigger speed, I would try it. The cuddes are the only ones we have tried that will get things as they move by even if they are running. We have to have something to stop the animal with the other brands we have tried.
