Titewad -cheap and cleaner
Red Dot -dirty but readily available

if your loading new AAs, denser powder like titewad allows you to still use very common wads like the WAA12 without stack height issues. Red dot works but is definately bulkier and causes issues with the new, shorter, AAs. Old CFs and Remingtons are fine for me with red dot.

I haven't seen one suggestion here that I wouldn't agree with. That was a standard load for a loooong time so there have been many powders developed to support it. Personally I would choose Red Dot/Promo but that's just me. I typically load 1 oz @ 1200 fps and they work great there but at 1145 they work fine too - I just don't do that much.

International, I've tried the rest. This is the best!
Also like clays but it's my 1 oz powder now.
I also like lighter loads - less velocity, I don't need to beat my self up to break a lot of targets.

I think Titewad is my pet powder for 1 1/8 at 1145.

16 grains Titewad
AA Hull
11/8 mag shot
CB8118 Wad
Winchester 209 Primer

This load will fool you in how effective it is.
Short sweet recoil and seems to get out the end of the barrel before the hammer falls.
Great load!
Thanks to a reloading guru on this thread.

1. Titewad
2. 700-x
3. clays
All of these powders are very versatile but I would refrain from using for caps loads. IMHO............
