Since most of us are confined due to the bad weather, I thought I would throw out a non-shooting topic to occupy your time during the silly season.

Remember the sitcoms that always had at least one heavy who was at one and the same time likeable/unlikeable and funny? Which do you remember?

I nominate Louie DePalma, the dispatcher on Taxi; Lt. Scanlon, Internal Affairs on Barney Miller, Arnold the lawyer on the same show and likewise Bruno Bender, the sporting goods store owner; and Colonel Flagg, the wacko CIA agent on M*A*S*H.

Do you have any you remember?

We have a meTV channel on our cable lineup and love watching an hour of M*A*S*H every evening at 7:00! Although Alan Alda was openly anti-gun in that show and is just as openly so in real life (like most Hollywood types), it was a great series.
