KUDOS for RHINO Choke Company and it's employees!!

After trying several Companies (not to be mentioned) I was given a lead time of

7 to 10 weeks turn-around to get new chokes.

Then I spoke with Darrin C. at Rhino (352 528-6110).

He gave me a turn-around within 1 week from the time they received my Bbl.

He ask all the right questions concerning barrel bore and what I was looking for

as far as restrictions, walked me thru all the options for my barrel.

They got the barrel on 11/15, I PUT IT BACK on my gun 11/22.

GREAT JOB RHINO!!!!

That's sort of a double edged sword. The long lead times are usually an indication for "in demand" services...meaning people love their work so much they are willing to wait for it. Conversely, short lead times compared to the rest of the industry can be a red flag that not many people care to send work there.

You didn't mention anything about quality of workmanship or how well the chokes patterned. Personally, that would trump lead times to this humble shooter.

Perspective can be a funny thing.

Chip,

I agree with you, but the quality and finnish on the new ones is excellent,

I have very old Rhino chokes in my TM-1 now, have not had a chance to pattern

the new ones yet.

But I will let you know. I was only speaking to the service level of this

company.

I have had some very bad luck with the unmentioned company, and it was super

refreshing to deal with Rhino.

Check out the number of top shooters that use their chokes.

Call them and the will give you references.

Hello: I am sure Hal will let everyone know how well they pattern. I have seen the gun that he had the chokes made for and Hal did a great job restoring it. If he says they did a great job I am sure they did. Thanks, Eric

Hal,

If you had a pleasant service experience in dealing with Rhino in Florida, then you're among the minority. Consider yourself lucky. Just about everyone I've heard who attempts to do business with them says "Never again".

It's not that their work is bad. It's just that customer service seems to be a foreign concept to them. Perhaps things have changed. I hope so. They seem to make good products if you're willing to wait long enough and can deal with the practically non-existent customer service.

I had heard the same things about Rhino and discussed this with Darrin

(New sales manager) he said "the company has completely changed" new equipment

new policy on customer service and a renewed commitment to customer service.

I can only relate my experience with them, and the fact that he called me twice

to update the progress of my order.

Too often we hear (and remember the negative things on this site).

I just thought we should also let fellow shooters know when a company exceeds

expectations.

Hal,

Good idea. Thanks for providing the positive feedback. Hopefully others who have had recent dealings with Rhino will do likewise.

As we all know, there are always two sides to every story...

I wonder what "Joe's" version would be.
