Strychnine is a potent neurotoxin that causes extreme irritation to the central nervous system. Victims find the slightest stimuli unbearably intense which results in violent non-stop muscular contractions. Death is eventually caused by respiratory failure.
Until about 1990, strychnine was often combined with blood thinners in rodenticides. After consuming the bait, rats and mice would thrash about uncontrollably which caused internal bleeding. Rats died from massive internal bleeding accelerated by the blood thinners.
To say the least, strychnine poisoning is a truly grisly death.
And “what” you might ask, does strychnine poisoning have to do with obamacare? Well… as I watch the uncontrolled gyrations and spastic thrashing of Congressional democrats, party strategists, Jay Carney (and other spokesweasels) as well as miscellaneous “true believers”, I’m left to wonder if the obamacare Kool Aid had a dash of strychnine in it.
