Have at the Silver Dollar an Italian Springfield M-1 Garand, .30-06, 24" barrel, certificate, paperwork, en-bloc clips, test fired. $1300.00

Paid $169 for mine. Not new, a DCM rifle. There is notheing as neat as that clip popping out after the last shot.

Our soldiers used to fling an extra clip to make that "ping" sound and cause the enemy to pop up and become an easy target, LOL.

Gary, do you really believe that? It is nothing but urban legend. German war veterans have been asked that question and they just laughed. Imagine trying to hear such a "ping" in the heat of battles with so many guns and bombs with the distance between combatants . I am surprised any war veterans retain their hearing.

Production costs varied among manufacturers. SA priced the first ones at $150 each but they got the cost down to half that during WW2.
