I was wondering what the hotel situation is like at Sparta? How early should you book? Is it too late now to get someplace close? How far is the typical drive between accommodations and the WSRC? Any recommendations?

There are plenty of motels within a 50 mile radius. Been there.

Call Holiday Inn Express in Sparta. Just booked my room today for the Grand. $149 a night.

Not sure. I stayed there last year. They said to call jan 1 to book for the Grand. They had a few 2 queens rooms and a king suite available when I called. I am sure others called today like me.

Try K-River in Baldwin if you want to do the whole show. Red Bud has a nice little place as does Pinkneyville.
