I'm a paid member and it ain't the Cats A$$!!!!!!! It does get easier the more you use and become acquainted with it's differences from what we are used to. I still like Pre-Squad the best. It was much more user friendly. ScoresR ain't much fun either until you learn to use it as well. At our age , none of this computer stuff is easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Id assume because sos charges the shooter and scoresr charges the club. Since the club gets to decide, they choose what's cheaper for them, which I don't blame them.

I don't typically pre squad and id rather wait for scores/pay outs to be posted than pay for sos.

Yea, probably just follow the money. I suspect it is somehow CHEAPER for clubs to use that SOS crap. Site stinks compared to presquad.com but it it is what it is i guess.

SOS offers a lot of other benefits that pre-squad does not. It's an all-in-one shoot management software that deals with classifying, squadding, cashiering, scoring, shooter management, and reporting.

There is nothing that comes even close. Add on that it is free to the clubs, and shooters can choose if they want the added benefits of that come with premium membership. It is an extremely attractive package.

I agree that the squadding interface is not as user friendly as Pre-squad, and I hope they fix that soon. But I will honestly say I don't like going to larger shoots that don't use SOS. I really like having all the information at my finger tips and not having to go to the bank to see how many squads are in front of me.

I don't need ANY of that stuff !! I ONLY need to pick my squads and secure them !!! SOS Clays is CLUSTER to use and I am certainly NOT the only one that thinks so.!! Saying it is not as user friendly as presquad.com could go down as one of the UNDERSTATEMENTS of the century !!!! Premium membership?? They couldn't pay ME for that ! presquad was easy to use . SOS is a PITA ! As always History proves there isn't ANYTHING simple that somebody can't take over and screw up ! The clubs use it for "FREE "So I guess there is your answer. As ALWAYS FOLLOW THE MONEY !

SOS is pretty good for what it does, though I'm using the free version. It's missing some of the sorting features and money/winners reports like in Scoresr. I like to sort the reports by squad, class, category, etc.

I used the scoresr sorting features while squadding at the club. Makes the squadding process much easier and faster.

To me LOGIC is no fun trying to navigate a complicated site when there was an easy one that worked just FINE. . It's like using a long drawn out complicated algebra formula when simple math could have solved it in SECONDS!! All the guys at my club HATE IT !

At our small ATA shoots in Alberta we average about 6 to 9 squads. Even for the Provincial Championship we only had 15 squads. With these small numbers of shooters I certainly will not pay $2 per event to pre-squad or pay the $60 for premium member of SOS. I use SOS only to see an early review of the scores shot at our most recent shoots. I have no clue how to to see who won what for trophies.

SOS is so much more than pre squading. There is so much info available at your finger tips while at a shoot. Pre Squad.com never had anything close to it. Did you ever get to your bank at a large shoot and wonder, is there only four of us on this squad? Your answer is at your finger tips. That is only one example…. I love using it and complement Mr. Pink everytime I see him. He has also listened to any suggestions I may have. He is hell bent on making it even better. As for the $60 annual fee for access to all the functions… well this past year it saved me enough via free pre squading to more than pay its way.

All I EVER needed was to pick my squads . presquad.com did it well and did it easily . I don't need all that other stuff and sure wouldn't PAY for it. I guess the guy is making a killing off of it. The Clubs want it because it's FREE to them . As always follow the money.

I joined up and it will probably be more expensive for me than presquad, but Greg is trying to provide an alternative to presquad and scoresR at the same time and i think that is good. It is way behind presquad.com, in useability, but it is first and foremost a cashiering app, so im willing to give it time to grow into someything as good as presquad and scoresR in one app.

I hear what you are saying Kevin but, for me, I don't have any interest in "anything" but selecting my squad positions . Presquad was VERY simple for that, and I loved it. SOS is like a freakin corn maze in that dept. ! I guess as more clubs USE this site ,presquad will die. It's a shame but I guess it is what it is. SOS flat sucks but, I guess if i want to presquad for a shoot I will have to struggle with their convoluted format. :(

Just feels bad paying 60$ to a company for software that at best seems mid when there are better and cheaper options out there. At least from my perspective. The other bad taste is feeling forced to use it. If a club decides to use sos, sos is what it is and we don't really have a choice. Ig we could choose not to shoot there, but that seems like a bad move. Luckily for me, I rarely presquad. Im that any squad any post guy. The only thing we really can do is voice our opinions. Around where I shoot, itd mostly scoresr which doesn't cost us a penny as shooters. Some of the bigger shoots other cashiers come and bring sos in. I just kindly let them know I prefer scoresr and wait for scores/pay outs to be posted.

Maybe one day I'll give in to sos and pay. Just not today.

SSS software was great to use and worked well. It was sold and the new owner decided to raise prices as he was the only one. I donot think it is around anymore. Pre-squad and the system the grand uses is easier to use and cheaoer now as SOS went to three dollars. He also fixed it so pre-squad cannot be used with his club system. I can skip shoots that use SOS for presquading or not presquad

Yep the guy is raking it in now. He got the clubs hooked into using his site and then jacked up the price. He's laughing all the way to the bank. Like my grand daddy always said "some people aren't smart enough to know when they have been HAD !" Why should he even "bother" making his site more user friendly? He coned the clubs into using it then cashed in after they did.
