That's awesome! My son is 17 so I'm trying to soak up these last couple of years as much as possible. He's the one that actually got me into shooting registered targets. I've been a backyard shooter since I was a kid but didn't start shooting registered birds until a couple years ago. I can't think of a better way to spend time with my son!

Enjoy it while it lasts. The phase where they're embarrassed to be seen with you happens. Then it'll be eye rolls and everything you propose will be stupid. Ask me how I know.
Yeah, that can happen, but it's not inevitable. When I was a teen, I spent my weekends with my Dad and Uncle at the trap and skeet range and preferred to hang with them and their friends than other teens. Now, when I got into college, well that's another story. There were so many other distractions and activities to explore. However, I still liked to hang with the old folks too.

Agreed, it doesn't happen with everybody. I wanna say for me, just me, it was the late high school years with my son. By the time college started, my son figured out his parents knew a few things and had some good resources at their disposal.

Here's a video/song that every Dad should share with their children as they hit the teen years, go off to college or into the world. I saw them perform this live and after the show talked to them about it. It's from a true story of a talk they had with their Dad.
