I know a lot about shot making has been hashed and rehashed but I still have a question. I found liquid clothes detergent for $4.00 a gallon and wondered how much detergent I would need. I've never really heard a water to detergent ratio. My total liquid capacity is 9 gallons, hopefully that is enough, if not someone let me know. Thanks for your help. Jackie B.

As long as it says it is OK to use in the new front loading washers it should not foam.

S. J.,

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I've never had it foam using straight soap - no water.

I use the cheapest stuff I can find (either Wally World or a buying club).

Benefit is clean up is easy - just rinse and dry the shot on towels in the sun. When done just throw the towels in the wash - no need to add soap, there will be enough residue that you are good to go.

PS - don't tell the wife what you are doing with all the towels...

I use liquid All and mix 4 parts soap to 1 part water.

I put my shot tank (with coolant) in the frig, so I start with the coolant at about 40° and make shot until the coolant reaches 135°

P M me if you any other questions.
