Hey guys new to this forum but been lurking for years. About 15 years ago a very close friend of the family had passed and I inherited all of his hunting equipment (safes, rifles, shotguns, ammo, blinds...everything) anyways I have been cleaning out a few of my gun safes and found these laying in an ammo box so I decided to do a Google search and this forum is the only mention of this ammo I can find. Can anybody help me out with a little bit of info on these? I believe there six full boxes of these .=full]1675917[/ATTACH]

32g = 1.28 oz. So 2 3/4 de would be about 1145 to 1200 fps. Fine for trap, made in Anoka, M. so that would be Federal who made them
Shoot them and have fun!

Its obvious they were made by Federal for SKB. A 32 gr. load is equal to a 1 1/8 oz of shot. A 2 3/4 dr. powder load of 1 1/8 oz of shot, should fire at a speed of 1145 fps. The shot as listed on the shells should be 7 1/2's. All these shells should still go bang as long as they did not get wet. If they got wet, it would be easy to tell. The boxes even though there were dry would look like they got soggy. The base of the shells would also signs of rust. Even a all brass hull, would have rust around the primer if they got wet!!! I say go out and shoot these baby's at a ATA shoot. Looks to have good hard shot in them. Nice find for sure. Good Luck with them. break em all Jeff

If you dp decide to shoot them I would keep 1 box as a collectible/conversation piece. I have been shooting for 50 years and never did see those. Neat.

I doubt any load is safe to shoot "Out Of Your Krieghoff" Anymore!!! I've heard rumors about your reloads from Kitty!!!

Agreed. I've never heard about the SKB run of shells myself. Though Federal has made special runs of shells for various reasons for decades, so nothing new about that. break em all Jeff

I shot them for league at the St Anthony Gun Club about 30 years ago as I recall. The club now long gone was owned by Federal. Great little club.

Tron the question is are you Qualified to shoot that Kreighoff.

Fifteen two and a pair is four.

I think you missed a decimal point when you did your figuring . It should read 1.128 oz. of shot.
1.28 oz. of shot, is just over a 1 1/4 oz. of shot, while a 1 1/8 oz. load of shot reads 1.125 oz's.
1 1/4 oz. of shot should read 1.25. break em all Jeff
Thanks Jeff! I wrote it down correct on my pad, but my fingers typed faster than my brain could look!

All of the above. also these were likely loaded and boxed for international trap shooters. that was the max load for a while before it moved to 23Gr. never saw this box but the shooters at our club had similar loads from the major suppliers. had to be special ordered. i found them to be stiff. but effective.

Easy to see its origins when you look at this Federal Champion box.

Do they all look the same? Most notably the primer as the pictured one looks like a reload.

The gentleman I inherited these from worked for Federal Cartridge back in the 60's through the 80's if I am remembering correctly. I am keeping 1 full box and putting the rest on armslist. Thanks for the help guys I shot a few last night and the all fired with no problems.
