I need some help. I have a Beretta 682 top single barrel that the rib has become unattached on three posts. Does anybody know where I can have my barrel fixed and how much it will cost?
I sent my top single Beretta to Simmons it was loose also, they replaced the rib ,exc. work, call them & ask questions.
I would send another shotgun to them if it needed work.
http://www.moneymakerguncraft.com/ Check with MoneyMaker for cost
Simmons cost on a rib is $350 plus shipping I had to send a barrel back to them as it was coming apart from the mono block. They had built the barrel and would not stand behind it.
I would try Loctite "Blackmax" It has worked for me.If you must solder then make sure to use Johnsons paste wax to protect the barrels to avoid the cost of re-bluing. yrmv
I've tried blackmax. Didn't work for me. What does Johnson paste was do.
I used to do alot of silver soldering years ago. I thought about doing alittle practice just to see how well I can still do it. Might give it a try myself after some practice. Bill
