Looked at a Seitz with adj. rib today.
(I have seen descriptions that cite a rib number...)
How does one tell which rib it is?
I didn't see a number anywhere on it.
Anyone know?

I have had them also, the Alfermann was my favorite but just got too heavy for a set of 70+ yr old arms

To answer the OP, you really can’t tell unless you just happen to know, measure the taper, call Richie, have another known rib to compare to, or happen to have seen a couple of dozen SS ribs. I started with a #1, switched to a #2, and then finally settled on a #3 adjustable rib. I couldn’t tell you the difference just by looking at a gun. There is also a #4 rib out there for a really high POI.

There are also a half a dozen or so different fixed ribs as well.

It is the height of the back of the rib. Not sure but if you look at them together it is easy to tell the difference. Rich can give you the measurements

I called Richie and gave him the measurements.
He told me which rib and POI range-
Should be the same as my Pgun the way it is set up......
