Was given some shot in a pail (5 gal.), old enough that the canvas bags had decomposed. Anyway the shot is pretty much blended together, from what I can read of whats left of the bags looks like 6 + 8s mixed up. I've used Mamas
cooking strainer to separate shot and powder before but this is a cluster!.
Easily a 100# had to pour into two pails to manage the weight. I hate to melt it down for sinkers anybody have and experience or ideas?.

Collander; cheap and fast.

Put on a heavy rubber glove to push it around in a circular motion.

8*s drop, 6's stay

set the collander in a bucket for support

No duct tape needed !

Bart, you DO realize that the "great man" who originally said those words was a 13th century Frenchman, don't you? I didn't realize the French had a fan club on this forum from what I've read.
