Would like some input or opinion on places to shoot trap between Minnesota and Florida. Planning a long trip for next fall in our motorhome so places that either have camping facilities or are reasonably close to one. Just wondering where your favorite trap clubs are? Hoping to be in Florida by Early November and would love to shoot a round or a few at some of the great and historic clubs along the way. We will be travelling from Florida to Arizona mid December and also would like to check out some places along that route as well.

Hog Heaven Gun Club in White Pine, TN, is a great club. It's about 40 minutes east of Knoxville. They have a shoot October 13-17.

If you plan to be anywhere near Missouri, the Missouri Fall Handicap Sept 20th through 26th is always a great shoot. Located in Linn Creek, Mo. Missouri Trapshooters Association - Linn Creek, MO for more details.

If you're gonna be around Illinois in June you can try our state shoot at brittany trap range. Nice club and good targets. Camping on grounds available.

Rebel Yell in Montgomery will probably be October 23,24. Good shoot, friendly people and usually a little cooler by then. FTA Fall Championship in November at the Dollar. Camping at both.

In 1999 I organized a shooting trip from Arizona to the Alaska State Shoot. 20 RVing shooters shot at many clubs along the way. The write up was in the April 2000 Trap & Field.
It was truly a grand adventure.

If your travels take you through north-central Indiana, put the Fulton County Gun Club in Rochester, Indiana on your list. They not only run great shoots, they have great camping spots next to a river and a great kitchen. In September they hold a popular shoot called the Tippecanoe Valley Championship that is very well attended.

Oh, and then is the Fall Marathon in October at Fulton County. Ton of shooting for you X-rated at this wonderful club if your in the area.
