What you should do is take off the Briley bolt handle and put back the original one. How many times
a day do you ever have to open the bolt? Maybe one when you take the gun out of your car.
I had the same problem on my 391. I ground a little bit off the edge of the Briley handle to clear the shell
catcher. One day the Briley bolt handle snapped in two, Should have had nothing to do with my modification,
but then I couldn't return it.
My LGS didn't stock the T&S shell catcher I wanted. While I waited for the one I ordered I used a heavy rubber band from a bunch of broccoli or asparagus. It worked well and left no marks on the gun.
I hope this helps.
