The Rush Co. Conservation Club will hold their second NEW YEARS DAY CALCUTTA on Wednesday Jan. 1. 2014.

This will be a 25 bird "Mini" first, then a 75 bird Calcutta afterward.

Club is located 1 1/2 miles East of Rushville Indiana, on S.R. 44.

Club will open at 9:30, for practice. Mini will sell at 11:00, and Calcutta will follow.

Mini is $20.00 for targets and purse, divided same as Calcutta, but no lewis class, or F&R long run.

Mini shoots 10-16's, and 15 from "What you break", with 10 shooting from 25 yds, 9 shooting from 24 yds, and 8 or less shooting from 23 yd minimum.

Minimum shooter bid is $5.00, and will increase in $5.00 increments.

.......................SHOOTER AND BUYER SPLIT 50/50..........................

########Last years Mini ( Just 25 targets ) had over $1400.00 in it############

Calcutta targets, front and rear long run, lewis, and calcutta for $50.00, or just play what you want.

We will shoot 25-16's...25-22yd...and your ATA YARDAGE.

Both shoots pay 50-30-20% if under 30 shooters, and 40-30-20-10% if over 30.

First lewis winner is highest non-winner score, and lewis pays three places.

A Long Bird will be shot before the 75 bird Calcutta. The first three tickets drawn will shoot,( split 50-30-20%) and the next four tickets drawn, will each get a box of shells.

############################## REVISION ####################################

Due to this being a cold-weather shoot, and the shorter days of winter, we have revised this shoot from the original post.

We have a larger supply of the Federal Top Guns in 3 dram, 1 1/8, 7 1/2, than anticipated.

No limit on these shells, plus we also have a limited supply of Remington 2 3/4 dram, 1 1/8, 8 shot at the same price of $6.50 a box, or $65.00 a flat, out the door.

These are available at the Rush Co. Cons Club for the Jan. 1, 2014 shoot.

NOTE::

Our supplier said Remington already took about a 7% raise Dec. 1st., and all others are raising about 8% on Jan. 1st.

These prices will be good as long as the current supply lasts.

Thanks

Hey, this is the one that Aaron (a.k.a. Phil) and the guys from Coonhunters affectionately and with great reverence refer to as Hubble's hangover shoot. Hope to be there, and since were on the subject of Hangover/s, hopefully, Jeff (a.k.a "the one man wolf pack") will be there with the rest of the wolfpack. . . . GO WOLFPACK!!!

OOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!

TTT for a great club and shoot.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! To all who made our shoot possible, and another success.

The weather cooperated, and we had a very good attendance, and pay-off.

In the Mini 25, we had 60 shooters, or 12 full squads.

Dick Sholty and Doodle tied for 1st place with 25 each.

Ten shooters tied for 2nd with 24.

Third place had 16 shooters tied at 23 broken targets, and

Twelve shooters split the 4th place money.

The 75 bird race had 62 shooters covering 13 squads.

Two shooters tied for 1st place honors with 74. Aaron Fields, and Doodle!!

In second, all by his lonesome, was Keith Hilton with a score of 73.

Louie Morgan, Bob Caplinger, Danny Ryan, and Tom Neal made up 3rd place with scores of 72.

Fourth place honors were split three ways with Marvin Wickey, Bruce Haffner, and Jim Shade breaking 71 each.

First Lewis had winners with a score of 70

Second Lewis was paid for a score of 67 to 10 shooters, and

John Schafstall won the 3rd Lewis by himself, and smiled all the way to the bank.

Tom Neal earned the Front Long Run with 58, and Doodle edged out Aaron Fields for the Back Long Run with 64.

My thanks to Jim King, Donnie Wells, Bobby Hubble, John Clark, Mike Huffman, Donnie Stanton, John Schafstall, Andy Tussey, all the volunteers, and those who brought food and treats for our enjoyment.

We are planning another one like this, so keep an eye out(Yeah, you too, Ralphie), for the announcement.

Happy New Year to all!

The Rush County Conservation Club Crew
