I have a Mark I Ruger .22 pistol from a dead guy that left it to me. It's got walnut target grips, target barrel, and about 90 percent. I've looked around to find a value for it, but can't find anything, any help would be appreciated. I also have a mercury reducer that I won't use, if you can use it, let me know. Jim from Nebraska

A ruger mk1 pistol is a great hardy user that you will never wear out,I wish I still had mine. The value isn't great generally unless yours is something special.Jack

Twenty Seventh Blue Book lists a Mark I in 90% condition at $225.

It makes no mention of a 'target barrel.'

If it has a tapered barrel, and/or specific original box(es) the price can double.

OK,

The 5 1/4 inch tapered barrel in 90% condition is listed at $475 (at 95% it is $600).

If the box is yellow/red/black and also says 'target pistol' you can add another $75, if the box is hinged, not two pieces that number goes up to $300.

I'll give you $250 right now. Never, ever trust a mortician. I'm thinking that I could pay for the gun plus a clinic in Wyoming with the $500 I have in my rathole.

The Mark I target models came in 2 versions. The T512 (5 1/2" bull barrel) and the T678 (6 7/8" tapered heavy barrel)
