I understand that the guns were not sold at the same location as the other items.

Is it true that once at a shoot somewhere, Gable came off the line after shooting a bad score, held this model 12 in the air, and said "Who will give $500.00 for this gun?", to which Roy said "Sold"

I heard this story a long time ago, and I think it was about these two gentlemen.
