A really fun guy to be around. Several years ago, Richard made and sold black wind breakers with a big white pigeon on the back. I still were mine every once in a while. Age can be good but we sure lose good people and old friends too often. Jimmy Borum

Richard had cancerous bladder removed last Thursday (?) came home over the weekend and died yesterday after complications wit breathing.. maybe a blood clot,

He first kicked my ass shooting pigeons in 1968. Like all of you I will miss him.

Rest in peace. Sounds like a great gentleman that this sport will miss.

Maybe God needed some one to get rid of those nasty pigeons .i meet Richard when I was a young man in McAllen Texas in the early 80s at Bob Ramsland shoot he treated me like I was Harlow Kibbe Thanks Richard for making me feel like I was somebody. A great guy that will be missed by many . May God bless your family and give them peace.

Just got back from the funeral - saw a lot of shooting friends I haven't seen in awhile. Willy Price, Joe Woesthaus, Dan Browder, Jud Little, Huckabee brothers, Connell, Kipp, Pickett, Stringer.....

Gonna miss him. Apparently a blood clot breaking loose after the operation is highest probability.

RIP
