I had an adhesive add-on cheek-piece that I used and removed from another gun. It's perfect to adjust another gun I know have. I've tried it with duct-tape holding it, and makes for a perfect fit.

I can't find another like it, so I'd like to use it again, but without duct-tape. What's out there that will work? And I don't want to everlasting permanet.

I've tried the thin double sided tape that's sold to hold down carpets for some other purposes, and have been disappointed. I have some other seriously effective double sided tape, but it's pretty thick, probably 1/16" to 1/8". I'm afraid tape that thick won't work.

I go to Walmart and in the craft department they have sheets of a black rubbery self adhesive foam material thats about 1/16ths of an inch thick. I use a discarded KICK-EEZ cheek piece paper backing (that you remove before applying the KICK-EEZ) as my pattern to trace a shape that I then cut out and apply to the comb. I use it mostly as a little cushion not for height and I'll be darned if it not only works as good as the KICK-EEZ if not better and at 2 bucks a sheet compared to a $15.00 KICK-EEZ , you can't beat it.. The consistance of the rubber is perfect and the self adhesion properties ideal. Don't know how thick you need but I'm sure you could layer it. It will not be permanate but you will destroy it taking it off. Why go ugly with double side tape when you can do this , no bumps but a smooth surface all around.

Ian - Thanks. For Plan A, I tried the two-sided carpet tape I have now. Though it wasn't adhesive enough for the other application I tried, it may work for this. If it doesn't, I'll try Plan B or C.

Good idea perazzi 01 - That will be Plan B or C.

My local dealer has a KICK-EEZ in the right size in stock for less that $15. But I like the feel and appearance of the leather (leather-like?) surface of this old pad. The KICK-EEZ is black and doesn't seem as smooth. But the KICK-EEZ will be PLAN C....or B.
