Go into Remington.com & read about their new recoil pad. I am going to dig out a few 870s from the safe & give one a try. Have any of you tried the new pad?
Thanks,

New guy here, from SEPA, Been reading posts here for a while and thought I would make my first response.

I actually saw this pad at our club last night, a guy purchased a 870 youth stock for his son and it came through with this new pad. Looks good seems soft and high quality.

Just my 2cents worth.

TOOLMAKER, see ya Thurs. night.

Remington was buying Limbsaver recoil pads from SVL, and calling them R3. Looks like they just made their own knock-off version of the Limbsaver, and called it Supercell. Kind of like they did with Ballistic Tip bullets.

There was a recent ad out by Kick-Ezz showing how their pad compared
to about five others including the Limbsaver. The testing was conducted
by a independent testing lab. The Kick-Ezz was the most effective at
reducing recoil. I haven't checked but the report may be available on the
Kick-Ezz website.

I purchased one of these new pads for my 870 because my son is using it for trap. I took it with me last weekend and hunted pheasant with the new pad on. I think it is well worth the money.

I had Cabelas in my area order one for me. They got about 20 of them for stock. It took 5 days for it to come to the store in Hoffman Estates Ill.
