Does anyone remember the gentleman who was selling "O" rings for gas guns? He was selling 5 of them for $10. I sent a check weeks ago but haven't received the rings. Thanks for any feedback.

Hmm. Most hydraulic shops sell the Viton O-rings, And almost all hardware stores sells the plain rubber ones, including Lowes, and the other super stores.

Just the size is the same but the viton O ring is more heat resistant as compared to a regular o ring.

I highly doubt you can buy a viton at the hardware store for 30 cents or so.

It will take a good effort to get the Viton O ring. It does not come in a sealed cardboard pack of 5 that I know of.

You can buy a pack of 50 Viton o-rings (size 21) from McMaster-Carr for $7.20. (That puts the cost at 14 cents each before shipping.) Size 21 fits a 12 gauge Remington 1100. Here's the URL:

I did that about two years ago and I'm still giving them away to friends. At 14 cents, I can afford to be generous.

You can also use the plain rubber o-rings sold in a local hardware store, but they will not last nearly as long.

More info (including size of ring to fit a 20 gauge) at

I did the same thing myself. With shipping from Mcmaster in NJ, it was like $12. I replaced what needed to be replaced at home and took 25 or so down to my club and handed them out to whoever wanted any. Especially one of the old timers who is very generous with his "Extra '06 ammo that was hogging up space" whenever I have my rifles out. I still have enough of them to last a few lifetimes.

Pigkiller and I have made contact and he will be taken care of. I wasn't hiding from him or out to steal his money! I have never been on a site where in two hours after the original post you are called an "A$$HOE". Perhaps the genius' spell check was disabled. Are trap shooters really such a low class of people? Quite frankly this has not been my experience in the sport and maybe the anonymity of a web site gives some people the bravado they lack in real life. Anyway, pigkiller and I are good; his replacement rings are on the way.
