BOTH SOLD--The Remington Model 31 was Winchesters main competition during the 30's and 40's. Winchester's Model 12 won that battle and probably sold 10 or more guns for every Model 31 sold. You don't see many 20 ga. Model 31's for sale. Here are two guns that are in very nice shape and priced to sell. Both guns have 28 inch barrels. One gun is bored Mod and the other is Full. They are 31L's which were the lightweight model. The Mod choked gun weighs 5 3/4lb and the full choke gun comes in right at 6lbs. Both are trim, easy pointing shotguns with smooth actions. I'd rate both of them at 85% or a little better. There are some bumps in the stocks with a little finish loss, but not much. The pix tell the story. On both guns, the barrel and receivers have the same serial numbers. Totally original down to the Remington buttplates. Bores and mechanics excellent. WAY cheaper then a Model 12 20 ga==you will like these at $399 for your choice--delivered in the lower 48. You can't buy an 870 for that!! The full choke gun is pictured first.
