Anyone have any leads in a shell catcher for a Remington 1100? Thanks
I found/bought a nearly new Remington 1100 Trap-T last year and immediately realized that it was nearly impossible to find a new T/S clip-on shell catcher which was, the last I knew, readily available just a few years ago. When I couldn't find a new one and only found a few heavily used ones, I began looking for other kinds of manufactured shell catchers. Years ago I used the piano wire method but I didn't want to drill holes in this barrel.

I found this Birchwood Casey Save-It shell catcher which sticks securely on the receiver and can be easily moved up over the ejection port to catch the empty shell or down out of the way to allow the empties to cleanly exit. BC makes these shell catchers for both left and right hand receivers and they advertise them for "12-gauge semi-auto shotguns. So far I've had no problems with it and has worked as advertised.
