Did remington ever make 870 trap guns (with out) the markings on the barrel or on side of the receiver ????? Looking at one and its tag has its a trap gun witn a 30" barrel ,full, mid bead and with monte carlo stock looks to maybe a TA or TB not TC any help would be nice Thanks Eric
I think I remember that some of the TAs were not stamped, they just had a std receiver with trap dimension wood & bbls. It also may be one that someone "built-up". Is it fixed or CTs? Ross Puls
If the receiver lacks a trap stamping then the only way to know for sure is if the gun has the original box with a matching serial number. If there is no box I assume it is built up. Odds are it was. Functionally there is no difference in the receivers. There could be a difference for resell value.
All signs show its a TA 30" fixed full with trap dem.Was wondering if Rem has a ser#look up???? also looking for a step rib trap barrel tubes or no tubes Thanks Eric
