Timney put a couple of releases in Remington 700's, I saw one of them. Lift the bolt to unset. He could put a release on a beer can if he wanted, what a brain! I don't know if anyone would do it now.

I would love to have a release for my varmit guns. I use them on all my target shotguns and I don't know why anyone would consider them unsafe as long as you obey the same safety rules as you do shooting targets. Nadine Ljutic told me that they built one for Al several years ago for his '06 and that even at his age he could shoot it well. It would be some much easier to shoot varmits with one!!

Jim Brown has it right. Why waste time and money on a useless concept? If release triggers for precision rifles is such a good idea perhaps you would see them on bench and sniper rifles. Lyle
