I have a stock that has a lot of bondo on it and I am thinking of having it painted along with the forearm

who out there has done this and can recommend someone to do it

I want to have a perazzi fully checkered forearm painted, will I lose any of the checkering by painting the forearm? Does the paint fill in the checkering and therefore I would lose the checkering feel?
