All I've ever owned are Mecs. I have at this time two Jrs, two 650s, a Grabber, and a 9000H. It's very seldom I need to order parts - they just don't break that often. A plastic start crimp once in a while is about it. I ground the ribs out of them to make em smooth so you don't have to change between 6, 8, or paper smooth pre-crimps. No more having to buy pre-crimps. Also I don't tilt bottles back to change bars or bushings. An adjustable charge bar took care of that problem. It seems like about 90% of the guys over at the club use Mecs, so when someone has a problem setting one up or just runs into a problem there's always someone to help out. One Jr is for 10ga shells, the other 12ga for playing around with BP, 2 or 2 1/2" shells, or fixing a mistake with the 9000. The two 650s for 20 and 28ga shells. The grabber is for my "magnum" 7/8oz Federal paper trap shells. All my machines except the 9000 have longer handles. I wouldn't use one with the standard handle - too hard to pull. The 9000 is set up for 3/4oz sk, 5-stand, and SCs shells. I can't say anything bad about any other press but I'm completely satisfied with my Mecs. Especially the 9000H - man is that nice just pushing my foot down.
