I should have quit right there :)

Today was Raahauge's (Corona, CA) monthly registered sporting clays shoot. The day started out at 45 degrees and slightly overcast and I was on fire, right up to my fourth station

Mike Dieleman took HOA with a 95, Fabrizio Buschini was one bird back with a 94, and Brad Sutton took M1 with a 93. Actually, those were the only scores in the 90's all day.

Lunch was burgers, wings, and nachos.

Gotta love CA - nice weather, and where else can you go to a Golf Cart Convention, and a sporting shoot breaks out...

Must have been a couple of yankee's in there.. they were wearing shorts!! LOL

That's how we spot them here in FL.. we're wearing coats, hats and gloves.. and they are running around in shorts talking about how great the weather is.

Thanks for the pics Brad. Looks like in spite of the clouds it warmed up. Was that white sky difficult to shoot against? I never see the targets as well in a white sky.

Doesn't look much different from the days I shot there 10 to 15 years ago. I really liked the other course we shot in the late 80's before the new homes were built nearby and shut it down.

Mike was a master promoter and doer. From what I hear, his son Pat has stepped up and taken on the responsibility very well after Mike's passing a few months ago.

Enjoy, it's a lot of fun.

Hi Tom, yes sadly Mike passed away. Pat's moved on to other things as well, but the range is still open and going strong.

Next time you are there and see my very good friend, Jay Braccini. Say hi for me.

We were part of team USA Sporting in 1987, went to England together with Dan Carlisle, Dan Reeves, & Alan Owens.
