I have a 22-250 mauser action rifle. I was wondering if any of you guys could help me with any info on the gun. The receiver reads waffenfabrik mauser oberndorf a/n 1900, it also is stamped L222, the barrell is stamped 22-250. This is a pretty nice looking gun. Just curious if this action is a good one or not. Thanks for any help you can give me from larry.

As a general rule any rifle with a Mauser action is a fine gun. Its why they have been copied so much. I've got a 8mm Mauser and a Mosin Nagant. Shoot them both and you can see the attention to detail that the germans put into their gun as opposed to the Ruskies rifle.

The Oberndorf action was the best, the one most gun smiths used for custom guns, as your's in 22-250. Joe

Peter Paul Mauser was in the factory that made your rifle in the early 1900's.
I would consider the rifle a piece of history and treasury it.

If you can put pic's of the gun up here. That would help us give you more info. Mauser guns and actions are great and well known for their strength. You will not have a problem with the Mauser brand.
