Early Timney release trigger for a Remington 1100 (12ga). There are no markings anywhere but it's an all steel frame and looks like others I've seen online. It has what looks like a disconnector, but it doesn't work as a release disconnect. It appears that this release would function on either an 870 or an 1100 if a few parts are swapped. $250.00 shipped.

I think that's an 870 trigger.
While it definitely has the "look" of an 870 trigger, mostly due to the hammer and action release, its setup and works in an 1100. If you look closely, it has a carrier latch and carrier release spring. An 870 doesn't have these. I've tested it in my 1100 and it works as it should.

Thanks Alan. I knew there would be some confusion over this release, but as you stated, I'm fairly sure it's an early Timney. I've seen a lot of your posts over the years and you've got a lot more experience with Timney triggers than I. I may have this one priced a little high but I know some people prefer the earlier Timney triggers.
