Varget and 335 were my go to powders depending on what the cartridge was for

There are a bunch of powders that will do well. I've loaded a bajillion using WW748. I have read good things about CFE 223 and have been trying to get some to try with my 204 Ruger...but like many powders, I have had no luck finding any locally.

After load testing I let my rifle tell me which it prefers. Presently loading R-15, BLC-2, Benchmark, and H322 depending on which gun and what bullet I am shooting. Some years ago I had a Rem. 223 Varmint that shot 4198 better than anything else I tried in it. It's a journey finding out what works for you and your gun. Have fun and good luck.

I've had the best accuracy with H335 with my 223's

H335 for me when loading bulk 55gr fmj's. Meters excellent and clean burning. My "go to" .223 powder.

H 335 is a great choice , been loading it for years , try it

My favorite is BL-C(2). I've used Varget, IMR 3031, IMR 4064, and Power Pro Varmint also. The LGS was out of BL-C(2), the only powder they had left for .223 was CFE 223. I've heard good things.

I used to buy military pull down powder that loaded like H335 from Hi Tech reloading supplies for $80 a keg. Shot fine with their pulled .223 Bullets for 3 gun. Those days are gone though.

Well, l have my order in for these in this order, Varget, 748 and BL-C(2). I added H335 to the list, So we shall see what powderman brings me!!! I like easy metering powders, and l use Varget and BLC(2) already so l may as well stock up when/while l can and then add some 748, H335 JIC l may need/want it later.
