I just got word that Mr. Charles (Gary) Mother passed away this morning. He is one of the sites very best of the best of good guys.

For those he is to be sending shells to, please be patient, it may be a few extra days.

Gary just heard of this a few minutes ago im also sorry for your loss you know if you need me for anything im just a phone call or email away.

Mary Gunter Nelson, 92, McLeansboro, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center, McLeansboro.

Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker.

She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in McLeansboro, a daughter of Harry Grover and Nora Meg (Gibbs) Gunter. She married Carl Leslie Nelson on Oct. 1, 1938, in Morganfield, Ky.; he preceded her in death.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Harre Funeral Home. The Revs. Robert Sefried, Billie Duncan and Mark Byars will officiate.

Interment will be at Oddfellows Cemetery, McLeansboro.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Nelson of McLeansboro and Melvin Nelson of Flannigan; one daughter, Nancy Nylander and husband Robert of Pontiac; five grandchildren, Lisa, Amy, Tammy, Kimberly and Steven; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Lewis of LaPorte, Ind., and Ruby Duncan and her husband the Rev. Billie Duncan of Carmi; and brother-in-law Vernon Hollister of McLeansboro.

Mrs. Nelson was a member of First Baptist Church, McLeansboro, and was a church nursery caretaker for 37 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, McLeansboro.

Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, is in charge of all arrangements.

Since I don't see a web page for the funeral home to leave condolences on then I added her to the find a grave site incase if any wants to leave flowers or a note.
