I've heard 4 24's for a 96 called a 'Polish Hundred' before. (My mom is of polish decent so I'm allowed to say it).

 

Also had a buddy who shot 4 x 99 in a tournament, called it the Polish 4x4.

 

We all know what a Polish straight is...

Apparently, I don't count among the "we."

Things like this have always been racist. What's new "now days" is that people are no longer putting up with it.

 

Birch, lighten up. Where I worked for 35 years, if someone knew something bothered you, everyone would make sure you never heard the end of it. Jews, Canadians, Italians, Germans, Mexicans, Africans, he!!, everyone gets made fun of at sometime or another. First time I heard the term "Polish straight" and asked what that was, I was told it is 4 rounds of 24 for a total of 96.

The term "Polish straight" has been around forever, whether it's racists or not.

To be perfectly honest with you, it's always made me uncomfortable.

A lot of these people did not grow up in the same times I did.
Name calling, bullying, no lgbt or whatever it is was just part of everyday life and you endured it.
Just the way it was back then and yes times have changed but maybe not for the better in a lot of cases.
My 2 cents, your opinion may/will differ but I really do not care.

I have a black friend who goes by “Bucky”. He introduces himself as that. He’s not a snowflake and sees the humor in things meant to be funny as opposed to demeaning. If you can’t laugh together, you have nothing.

 

All I dated was polish girls and I married one 52 years ago - still with her. Polish is not a race ? but that's what she called herself, or was it a pollack. We Germans know something good when we see it.

 

She probably calls herself that because she was born in Poland and is therefore Polish because it's her Nationality. ..... or maybe her parents were born in Poland, and that's her family heritage and ancestory. Nationality is not a Race
