Pick a hunting dog breed for me!

I would recommend that whatever breed you pick comes from a proven hunting bloodline if you plan to hunt.

What ever breed you decide upon the pup's pedigree is what you are paying for and you get what you pay for these days. A litter from AKC proven earned field title's show's the parents have a college education of proven train ability. Just being AKC registered doesn't mean squat.......even Jeffrey Dalmer had a birth certificate.

Thanks. He lived a full life and hunted through his 13th year. Can’t really ask for much more than that. I was pretty certain he wouldn’t make it back from SD but couldn’t think of a better place for him to be at when the time came. The whole trip was sort of a tribute to his life as my hunting/fishing buddy that has been on almost every trip we ever made to Iowa and SD relieved lots of memories and stories. The below picture was taken on his final day. We killed our limit at 12:00. Took a bunch of pics with all the dogs, shed more than a few tears and then loaded up and made the hour long drive to the vet. As we left the vets office standing along the road in the sun was a big old rooster. Seemed fitting.

Great pictures with your Springer. I have a soft spot for Springers as well.
