Congratulations to longtime So-Cal trapshooter Phil Ross who left a shooting hiatus of approximately 14 years to shoot a little trap this year. Phil had to overcome health impediments and some "shooting cobwebs" and the need to adjust to a new gun after shooting his Model 12 throughout his "first" career. This weekend, Phil took a relatively unfamiliar to him Ljutic Monogun and shot a 94 from the 27 last Friday and a 98 from the 27 today, Sunday. Both scores were among the highest on the board and both scores handily won high veteran. These results after approximately 1000 or less prior targets with a gun entirely new to Phil and the need to adjust to a seated shooting position.
Phil posted these scores at the Redlands Shooting Park's Thanksgiving Shoot in Redlands, California. Phil is likely known to many who visit this website through his ad and "page" describing is well-known lessons, audio instructions, and new and unique book. Phil, "This Dr. Pepper is For You!" and I also am sure that Al and Nadine Ljutic will be smiling if and when the word travels to Yakima Washington.
