I'm wondering about the similarities/differences between an Ithaca/Perazzi Comp.1 and an Ithaca/ Perazzi MX8? There is a set of Anton wood for sale,on here, for a drop out trigger MX8 (type3) and I wonder if that wood set might fit directly onto a Comp. 1? Thank you.

The Comp1 would prolly be a T1 or T2 and the T3 wood would have to have the cut made for the bolt lock. NBD, but the stock would not likely just slide on. Might be other fit issues as well. The older Perazzis are rather more individual guns than they were later.

No Perazzi stock, New or old, should be slammed onto a new receiver without caefully checking the fit before tightening the stock. Odds are that you will have a little interference somewhere in the metal to wood fit on top or bottom tang - look particularly from 9 to 6 to 3 o'clock.

Ditto forearm, particularly where the upper rear portion approached the barrels. Fine paper should slide in there - otherwise recoil will crack it there also,

Thanks to all who responded. As it turns out the stock is close to home and I will be able to check it (stock set) against the metal. Thanks again.
