I picked up a MX-15.It's number is 957xx. How do I tell what year it was made.

There is a proof mark on the barrel lug. Use the table from RLC323 to determine mfg. date

I have an MX-6 Combo with BD on the bottom of the barrels. The serial number of the barrels match the serial number of the receiver. According to the chart above, that would make the date of manufacture 1994.

That's fine with me, but I was unaware that the MX-6 was manufactured that late-always been told, by the Seller and others, that it was a 70s or early 80s gun. The serial number is P.U. 91XXX.

Am I looking in the correct place for the code? It's right next to where Wilkinson stamps the barrels indicating his work on them.

The MX6 was made into the mid 90's. The MT6 was made in the late 70's and early 80's. These are totally different guns.
