Gun opens before tang locks to right. Is this a locking block problem? What is the going price for rebuild or replace locking block? Who would you recommend to do this work...preferably in the Midwest.

After seeing the qualitiy of his work in threads posted here, I would agree that Doug Braker is a fantastic choice. He could have your TM1 working flawlessly again for a resonable price I am sure.

There was a thread posted by MIA where Doug put in a new locking block in Jack's MX2000. Reading about the attention to detail was very impressive.

There is nothing wrong w/ your gun. If the lever is not in the middle of the tang w/ the gun closed and it does not open itself - there is nothing wrong w/ it.

I can open any of my Perazzis w/out catching the lever lock. And I can assure you that nothing is wrong w/ any of them.

You may want to consider a disassemble and thorough clean and lube

I think all perazzis will open before the top latch locks to the right. I bought one new and had to learn to continue to push the lever after it started to open. That alone doesn't mean there is a problem.
