It will fit on the gun but it will be awful tall. I don't know if you can set it low enough for the flat ribbed MX8.

Can a regular pad be fitted if the counter coil is removed? What is the LOP to the base of the wood, without the counter coil? Thanks.

LOP is 13 1/4 w/o the counter coil. And yes a regular pad could be fitted to the stock.
