Typical, I ask a question and everyone but the OP answers it.
Steve says the picture shows 4 notches and Jack says 3.
Jack, do both ribs have 3 notches?

I was just pointing out the fact according to OP's picture.
If I don't know Jack and call him a friend, I wouldn't do so.
My apology. I should have just minding my own business.

The 35" is a later model mfg. It too HAS 4 notches, The O/U is matching with iron and HAS 4 notches. My personal RS is late model as well and it has 3 notches. Likely this gun began as a combo and then the unused unsingle was sold off. And then not long ago the made back into a combo with the 35" unsingle. 4 notches on the ribs. And this. the choke length section of the 35" is about an inch longer than the choke on my 34". I doubt it means anything other than the possibility that the pattern will hold up better down range.

It is 3 AM and I checked all this notchiness out. And very true. Steve W and I have been good friends since the Mike Greenblatt era. "PerazziBigBore". What a great guy he was. He had that built in southern way of speaking that was cordial to everyone.
