I am just about ready to order a Perazzi and was asked if I wanted a Light Monoblock. I was stumped thinking I had done my homework. This is going to be a live pigeon gun and the Light block will put me an ounce or 2 under or over 8 pounds. Whats up whit dat heavy block.

I don't know what to call them.....they are the two "ears" on either side of the barrel at the chamber.....when closing the gun, they meet the receiver on top of both sides....anyway, they can be drilled out to lighten weight. I'll see if I can get a pic of mine to post. Here you go...

I have heard that term refering to a rounded mono-block.. or regular square bottom mono-block..
